The Miniature Pony Centre - Review

We have been very busy in our household recently what with the Easter holidays and the weather finally getting better, yay! It has given us the opportunity to visit lots of new places, one of those new places being the Miniature Pony Centre near Moretonhampstead.

'Situated in an idyllic setting in the heart of scenic Dartmoor, there is plenty of fascinating parkland to explore. With farm and lake side walks, outdoor and undercover picnic areas and breath-taking views all set within 20 acres of beautiful Devonshire countryside.

The centre has a host of animals including small cuddly ones in the Pets Paddock, feathery ones in the walk in aviary and hatchery, or hairy and woolly ones can be found in paddocks around the farm.'

We chose to go here because the forecast wasn't looking too great and I needed somewhere that had indoor and outdoor play areas.

This place has quite a few indoor play areas which was perfect as it did rain in the end. We started off in the older childrens soft play area (pictured above) and the under 5's soft play area (pictured below).

When then went to see the pony's themselves in the pets paddock which my two year old daughter loved as you can go right in with them and stroke them.

After this we headed over to the older children's indoor play area which is definitely better suited to older children.

When it finally stopped raining we made our way over to the outdoor play areas, which had all sorts of fun things to play on for all ages.

After this we went up to the top of the hill where the zip wire and trampolines are. They had a special trampoline reserved for under 5's which was great for my two.

We then headed over to the farm animals where the kiddies all got to stroke the animals.

After this we decided to call it a day as it was getting very cold and the two little ones were starting to whine but despite the weather it was a lovely day out and we can't wait to go back in the Summer.

To go to the Miniature Pony Centre it costs £7.95 per adult and £6.95 for children aged between 3-16, under 3's are free! However if you go to my Vouchers/Money Off/Deals page it takes you to a voucher that gets you 10% off the admission price.
